The National Broadcasting and Telecommunications Commission, or NBTC, has thus prepared the Annual Report 2011 of the NBTC, and the NTC, Acting the NBTC, for submitting to the Cabinet, House of Representatives and the Senate, as well as disseminating to the public. This report consists of the background of NBTC, the Broadcasting Commission (BC), the Telecommunications Commission (TC), the NTC, acting the NBTC, and the Office of the National Broadcasting and Telecommunications Commission (Office of the NBTC), major performances, performance on spectrum management and the broadcasting and telecommunications services regulation of the NBTC, who was royally appointed by His Majesty King Bhumibol on 7 October 2011, and the NTC, acting the NBTC who acted on behalf of the NBTC for all duties and responsibilities as prescribed by Section 80 of the Act on Organization to Assign Radio Frequency and to Regulate the Broadcasting and Telecommunications Services B.E. 2553 (2010) during 1 January - 6 October 2011. This Annual Report 2011 also consisted of details of market competition environment of broadcasting and telecommunications businesses, that involved competition status, quality of services and tariff, efficiency and effectiveness of consumers petition management, efficiency and effectiveness of the Broadcasting and Telecommunications Research and Development Fund for the Public Interest, trend on the provision of broadcasting and telecommunications services in Thailand in 2012, problems, obstacles and challenges on business operation, as well as the report on expenditure budget in the year 2011, financial statement in the year 2011, and budget plan for the year 2012.
